Hei dear Arkies!
It has been a whirlwind of a couple of months and while yes (guilty as charged!), we have neglected this space, if you have been following our bite sized social updates (youtube, facebook, instagram, linkedin), you’d see that we’ve been busy little storytelling bees, knee deep in video production, creating content for dear friends and partners.
This has been an exceptionally artistic season for us and we’ve been so blessed with opportunities to connect, collaborate, create and … make magic.
Very recently, we were given the honour to team up with the good people at Raw Moves, leaders in movement and dance in Asia, and adapt their original live performance to the digital medium. Well, the rest they say is… history (of the celluloid kind)

As we maneuver our way through life, attempting to make sense of seeming senselessness, art is often a response to what we see and feel in a given time.
At first watch, we connected with Ghost Call through its response to our ever-increasingly digitalised lives.
Working on its video presentation brought us further down the rabbit hole, and made us muse about our current physically distant yet digitally claustrophobic state-of-being.

Have we/you stopped to ponder? By the end of production, Ghost Call - a short film really struck a chord.
We do miss the good ol’ days of attending live performances, but to witness and experience art evolving - living and breathing - against all odds, is something else altogether!

Ghost Call explores the idea behind one-sided communication and its effects on a person. With technology making it so easy for humans to connect, what does it mean when that connection is broken?
A collaboration between playwright Nabilah Said and RAW Moves Artistic Director Ricky Sim, Ghost Call is an experiment exploring the intersection between movement, text and the raw emotional connection with the audience.
As part of Media Literacy Council's Better Internet Campaign 2021, Ghost Call is a short film that reflects on online falsehoods and is available from 15 May to 31 July 2021.
